Hermantown Area Chamber Announces Logo Contest Winners

The Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with Hermantown High School in a logo competition which called for students to create a logo they felt positively represented Hermantown, the business community, and area as a whole. The winner of the competition, Freshman Rose-Anne Sauve will be working with a professional graphic designer on her created logo to finalize the new Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce logo.

Sauve explained that the image featured in the logo starts as a feather at the bottom, but turns into a wave.  It has a double meaning. The waves symbolize strength, flow of life, and freedom.  Water is soft, but firm and strong. The wing, on the other hand, is a symbol of freedom, purity, protection, and potential.  This logo represents the joie de vivre (or joy of living) and the dynamism of the Hermantown Community.

Hermantown High School students Will Housey and Logan Koneczny were recognized with Sauve at the Hermantown Area Chamber’s May Monthly Luncheon taking second and third place.
